Expert Service Activities

What Microsoft 365 work can an MSP outsource?

Expert Service Activities are pre-scoped Microsoft 365 work blocks. Use them to unblock your techs internally (Learn) or to deliver tangible work to your clients (Plus). They reset every month.

Microsoft 365 tenant assessment for MSP clients

We audit a Microsoft 365 tenant against current security best practices and produce a prioritized remediation list.

Outsourced Conditional Access policy build

Design and roll out a Conditional Access baseline that fits your client’s industry and risk tolerance.

Intune device baseline deployment

Deploy a Microsoft Intune device-compliance and configuration baseline for a tenant.

Microsoft Purview sensitivity labels and DLP

Configure information protection labels and Data Loss Prevention policies for sensitive client data.

Microsoft 365 Copilot rollout planning

Build a staged Microsoft 365 Copilot rollout plan with governance guardrails (Purview, Copilot Control System).

Microsoft 365 compliance gap workshop

Map a client’s Microsoft 365 environment against a chosen framework (SOC 2, HIPAA, NIST, etc.).

5 Service Activities per month on Learn
10 Service Activities per month on Plus — usable on client tenants
10 Priority bookings per month with specialists (Plus)

What counts as a Service Activity — and what doesn’t

A Service Activity (sometimes called a “Booking”) is a discrete consultation or assistance session with a My365 team member. The line is deliberately clear so you always know where you stand against your monthly allotment.

Counts as a Service ActivityDoes not count — unlimited
A Teams meeting with a specialist Ask Monty AI interactions — unlimited, any time
A screen-share working session Viva Engage community participation
A chat session with our team The weekly “Ask Me Anything” session
Project planning, client discovery calls, or scoping meetings The weekly Partner Strategy call

💡 Two things worth knowing: Activities are recorded when possible, so your techs can re-watch the session as training material. And they reset every month — 5 on Learn, 10 on Plus.

How does a Service Activity actually run?

1. You open a request

Through the Partner Center in SharePoint or in Teams. Tell us the tenant, the goal, and the constraint you are hitting.

2. We scope it with you

A specialist confirms what is achievable in a single Activity, or flags early that it belongs in a pass-through project instead. No surprise overruns.

3. We deliver

On Learn, that means working alongside your tech to unblock them. On Plus, it can be fully done-for-you on the client tenant, with your team simply informed.

4. You keep the recording

Sessions are recorded when possible, so the work doubles as training material your techs can revisit instead of asking the same question next quarter.

Bigger than an Activity? Pass the whole project through.

Some work is too large for a Service Activity. Those become pass-through projects: you scope and quote the engagement, we deliver the technical work at your member rate, and you bill your client at fair market value. You keep the relationship and the margin.

Project typeWhat it typically covers
File MigrationsSharePoint, OneDrive, and file-server consolidation.
Email MigrationsInto Microsoft 365, between tenants, and mailbox cutover.
Power Platform AppsPower Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse buildouts.
Hybrid Entra ID SetupsEntra Connect, conditional access, and hybrid identity.
Copilot Agent & AI ServicesCopilot Studio agents and Microsoft 365 Copilot rollouts.

Your project rate depends on your plan

PlanYour hourly costSuggested client rateYour margin
My365 Learn$199/hr$250/hr+$51/hr
My365 Plus — Monthly$175/hr$250/hr+$75/hr
My365 Plus — 1-Year$150/hr$250/hr+$100/hr

💡 What that looks like on a real project: a 30-hour engagement on Plus 1-Year costs you $4,500. Billed to your client at $250/hr, that is $7,500 — $3,000 of margin on work our team delivered. See the full breakdown on the profit model page.
